Nurse Recruitment Process

How we find and prepare the best nurses for your hospital?

The Placement Team finds the best nurses for foreign hospitals from its pool of graduates. PHPSII manages nurses’ careers until they land a decent job abroad. We conduct daily interviews and weekly qualifying exams to select the best nursing candidate who fit the criteria even before - weekly examinations and interviews to identify qualified applicants before they are hired locally. The screening process also includes verification of character, educational information and employment record. We submit our screening and assessment results for the principals' final evaluation.

Short Term Need

  • Candidates are sourced from our Database of outstanding nurse alumni, currently holding substantial number of years of experience in the clinical set-up.
  • Credentials – These nurses arrive in USA holding NCLEX-RN licenses from NSCB and English certification. NCLEX and IELTS are administered by Pearson Vue and British Council respectively.

Long Term Need

  • From school of nursing, we help you maintain adequate nursing staff level to the demands of patient care in a long term goal.
  • Top 5% of a batch shall be handpicked and complete a two-year staffing program with Perpetual Help Medical Centers geared towards prescription of principal clients. Our PHPSII nurse guru conducts periodic competencies achievement checks.
  • From here they are staffed locally and expected to manifest independence and case management approach to their nursing care at the conclusion of their employment stints.

Re-Training Program

This is a Three Months Intensive Training Program conducted in real-life set-up in our schools and medical centers. Recruitment commitments are associated with all training programs which come while their papers are processed.

We offer programs that range from training individuals with limited healthcare experience to specialized training programs for new graduates, experienced, and re-entry RNs. All programs combine classroom training with unit based preceptorship in a hands-on, supportive environment.

Skills and Examinations

Nurses in the Philippines are BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) graduates. They have finished a 4-year Bachelor course before they are allowed to take the local RN certification examination.

We have the resources to handle nurse’s immigration and state licensure. To ensure that successful results for foreign nurse candidates are met, the following are completed:
  • A diploma from a nursing school in the Philippines
  • RN license in the Philippines
  • NCLEX-RN license in USA
  • IELTS or TOEFL, TWE & TSE exams with passing scores

A Tailor-Fit Partnership with the Employers/Principals

Because the program will be built around the principal's needs, the principal's institution will be actively involved in the recruitment and training.

Philippine Overseas Employment Administration Requirements

We consider ourselves a special recruitment agency, affiliated with the University and Hospital System. We push for the training program for our nurses to deliver utmost patient care.

Like any other recruitment agencies though, we are also bound by the policies of Philippine Overseas Regulating Body, which regulates the operation of recruitment agencies in the country.

In the conclusion of this partnership we would need to submit the following from our principal-client to the POEA the following:
  • Recruitment Agreement between and among the employer and PHPSII, with a template from POEA that can be found HERE
  • Job Order – For foreign employers, a job order at a minimum of 15 is required to be handled by a recruitment agency accredited by the POEA
  • Master Employment Agreement
  • Special Power of Attorney – authorizing Perpetual Help Placement Services International Inc. to recruit nurses for the said principal
  • Certified copies of Business permit/license of principals
All other sample forms shall be sent via email for the principal's reference.
